story
the story starts off with katherine floating in space, lost and confused as to how she got here, she looks around to see a fleet of gigantic spaceships approaching, as they open fire on her she lunges herself towards them and leaps from spacecraft to spacecraft as they shoot each other and blow up in a flurry of flames and debris as she leaps towards the giant mothership
on the deck of the ship cannons and laser turrets activate and aim at her, firing a dizzying arry of hellfire down on her as she runs and leaps towards the cockpit, crashes through the window, and as the guards try to grab her, dodge their attacks and fight her way through them, fight her way through the corridors and run into the power core room, as the enemies open fire on her, she leaps into the air, tricking them into blowing up their own power source
the mothership breaks apart as katherine leaps through the debris dives out of the ship, making a final giant push forward to throw herself away from the impending giant explosion.
just then, smaller faster triangular shaped orange ships circle around her at dizzying speeds, opening fire on her as she reaches out to grab one of the speeding crafts.
she grabs hold of it as it zooms around the atmosphere, tricking it into crashing into two of its comrades in a kamakazi like fashion, she lets go and throws herself ontop of one of the other ships to its pilots suprise and as she turns around looks to see two more ships either side of her preparing to open fire, then just ahead of her (we're above the earth btw) a gigantic alien motherhship, even more collosal in size than the one she already destroyed, appears out from its cloacking shield and aims a giant red laser down at katherine
the pilot on the ship she's standing on laughts and chuckles at the thought of her inpending fate, caring very little that he would be obliterated as well, the mothertship fires a huge laser cannon at her, she immediately dives out of the way as it blows the ship out of existance and losing her power over gravity, finds herself slowly falling down to earth.
you then see the camera stay on her as she falls through the earths atmosphere at dizzying speeds, heading straight towards the city of exeter, england. Although she can do nothing to prevent it other than attempt to sheild her face at such break neck speeds, she's about to crash land in the roof of her own house and crash directly into her own bed.
She at point blank speed crashes through her roof like a falling meteor (as the camera pans over the side of her house - her falling diagonally from top left to centre right) and directly hits her bed, smashing straight through her bedroom and cutting through the ground as if it was made out of paper.
This immediately signals her to jump out of bed in complete shock and cold sweat to a ringing alarm clock where she, startled by her surroundings and the fact that she's still breathing realises it was just a dream the whole time.
After still being completely confused by the whole situation she eventually takes note of the loud ringing alarm and turns it off, rubbing her face and realising it was all just a dream, she then reaches for a glass of water by her desk while still rubbing her face and accidently knocks over her entrance exam papers.
As they hit the floor she looks over to pick them up, only to realise that she had overslept and was due to hand them in before school shuts.
Completely shocked by this she immediately leaps out of bed and rushes around the house to get ready and dressed as fast as she can while some cheesy pop music "something like thats what girls do from AC movie" play in the background.
the camera stays panned in her room as she rushes back and forth trying to multitask getting unchanged out of her sleeping clothes and into her main clothes while brushing her teeth and coming her hair, hopping on one leg as she struggles to put her tights on while reaching for her books, knocking other things over and making a mess as she goes.
She eventually leaves the house with the papers in her hand, running out the door and looking at her watch, telling herself she has 15 minutes to get halfway across town and hand the papers in or she'll fail her entrance exams, also reminding herself she was supposed to meet Rhys at the park straight afterwards.
This signals the first stage of the game as you have to rush through her neighbourhood and into the city centre, trying to get to her school on time before they shut the doors and she misses her chance to hand her papers in. (there's no time limit in the stage itself but it gives you the impression there will be)

-stage 1: Exeter City Centre-

katherine rushes to the school doors completely out of breath as the teacher standing by the doors opens the doors for her and lets her in telling her she'd better hurry if she wants to hand those papers in.
she rushes into the building to hand her papers into the teachers desk as he was in the middle of still grading and collecting them, without even giving him a chance to react she runs back out into the hallway, grabs a drink from the drinking fountain to quench her thirst then rushes back out again while wiping her mouth as the teacher by the door tells her to enjoy the rest of her summer.
As she walks into the street, she checks her watch and panics that she left rhys waiting for ages and worries he might be mad or would of left by now.
This signals the second part of the stage as you then half to rush back through town and towards the park where rhys is always practicing football.

-Stage 2: Exeter CIty Centre Part 2- -epic cloudy, blue/yellow sunset over the city as its roughly 4pm'ish

You get to the park to see rhys by himself dribbling his football and practing his skills.
"hey, I didn't think you were going to show" he says as he passes the ball to katherine. She catches her breath and appologizes for oversleeping.
"Oh, that space dream again?" he asks as she throws the ball back to him.
"yeah, I don't know why I keep having it" she replies, explaining how she's had the exact same dream several times now.
"Huh, maybe it's fate" rhys says jokingly, acting cosmic and teasing her that its her destiny to defeat 'the evil space overlord'.
she brushes him off telling him to knock it off as he chuckles at her, but then their conversation is cut short as they hear a loud explosion followed by louds screams and panic coming from the city centre.
Confused by the noise, one asks "whats that?" and the other replies "lets check it out"
They then run over towards the city as more loud noises and grey smoke fill the sky
They get to the city centre (outside john lewis) to see people looking onwards in amaze and others rushing away in panic as a gigantic floating alien elephant with a giant drill for a trunk is wrecking havok on the whole city.
Katherine and rhys look onwards in amaze as the police cars pull up besides them and the police yell through their radios.
the giant elephant swings its tail, causing katherine to lunge up into the air as rhys, the police, some bystanders running in panic and the police cars are all swatted aside like flies.
Rhys yells out to katherine as he lays on the ground besides the police officers as she finds herself stood right infront of the giant monster directly in its sights.
This signals the first boss fight in the game where you have to fight the giant elephant monster as it has many unique forms of attack but also has no invunerable areas of its body either (besides its drill trunk), meaning any part of its exposed body is fine to attack provided it's not trying to attack you - it's invunerable when its attacking.

-Boss 1: Eledrill-

This boss has several different forms of attack and two phrases
(all the bosses in this game have several forms of attack that they perform randomly, they usually give a subtle indication of what attack they're about to perform but when they do so, they're invunerable to any form of attack so all you can do is prepare yourself and keep a safe distance until their attack is over, which makes it free to lock on and attack them again)

Phase 1
-using its trunk as a drill to drill into the ground in an attempt to drill you
-swinging its giant curled up tail, smashing trees, cars, lampposts and anything else in the way into shop windows as it does so
-firing a giant powerful laser beam from its mouth
-aiming its drill at you as it slowly spins faster and then fires small hoaming needles at you
-trying to focus an aim at you as it lunges its tail forward (like the butterfly like angels from bayonetta that you kill with a chainsaw)
-firing laser beams from its eyes from the bottom of the ground towards you in a concentrated effort to fry you with pure concentrated energy
-trying to aim at you with its drill trunk then sneezing its own trunk forward (it's trunk is apparently completely elastic)

after you've hit it 10 times, it will collapse and fall down to the ground, creating a mighty thud as it tires and struggles to breath, before you can pat yourself on the back however for thinking you've defeated it, a smaller alien like creature with a giant eyeball for a face crawls out of the elephants giant mouth, this signals the 2nd phase of the boss fight.

Phase 2 - you now have to fight the enemy that crawled out of the bosses mouth, this alien isn't as strong but is vicious, much faster and harder to hit. It has only 4 forms of attack but won't hesitate to dodge out of the way and leap onto a rooftop in an attempt to dodge your attacks as well.
-trying to swipe at you with its giant sharp claws
-firing a powerful laser beam out of its giant eyeball
-trying to trip you up by swinging its large tail at you
-building up a gust of energy as if it was breathing in and firing a much more powerful giant pink laser beam at you, destroying everything in its wake

during the boss fight, a police chopper will fly over and lock onto it with its flood light, this startles and distracts the creature but doesn't affect the outcome of the fight itself in anyway as it's still up to you alone to defeat the creature.

this boss takes 6 hits to defeat (the first 3 hits will signal the police chopper, or 2 minutes in, depending on which will come first)
After you finally stike the creature with its final hit, it will pass out and collapse on the ground, besides the alien elephant creature, ending the fight for good.

exhausted, you brush yourself off, completely bruised, messy and dirty as you limp over to rhys (both him and the police were all still in pain on the ground btw, the fight only took 1-2 minutes in real life according to the cutscene)
you help pick him up and carry him over your shoulder as he asks if you're alright (the police picking themselves up as well), you both limp over to see the mess left behind you to hear the sound of cheers and appaulse as the whole surrounding area is cheering katherine like a hero for saving the day.
suprised, katherine and rhys stand there and look on as the entire town cheers for her while the police inspect the alien bodies and try to arrange for them to be carted away while other police try to keep the crowd under control and away from the aliens.
katherine and rhys kind of smile at each other in suprise as they realise what it was they've actually done and start to embraise the priase from the citizens around them.

the camera then pans out from a birds eye view out of the city, through the clouds and into space as it pans through satallites and planets towards a giant pink glowing milky way system unlike our own, from there you can see a greenish planet known as Terra, with a similar geography to Earth, the camera then pans towards that planet then cuts to an area of open forestation within the planets surface besides dry land and a military base.
there a giant black ship flies in from the sky to make a landing, robot and lizard like foot soldiers stand in formation besides the ship as a half cyborg, half kawala bear millitary commander known as Sg. Kawalo walks towards the ship as it opens up its stairway for their leader (the main villain of the game) Untitled to walk out of the ship.
The camera pans in over to him to make the audience aware that he's the main villain and the person in control of this army as the soldiers stand guard and salute as Sg. Kawalo escorts him into the building, without saying a word they walk towards the main lift where another of Untitled's main leutenants, A spiky green creature known as Flu was manning the elevator, waiting for his arrival.
They both join him into the elevator as it closes its doors and (as the camera changes to below the elevator itself) flies up to the top floor of the building to Untitled's conference room
there Sg. Kawalo and Flu immediately get out of the elevator and stand side by side of both sides in formation as Untitled walks out, they then follow behind as he walks down the dark hallway, through the laboratory areas and towards untitled's main control room.
he immediately sits down on his large chair, his wings wrapping around him as it automatically slowly comes towards him, preparing for him to sit down and then the chair lifts itself up as his desk comes out of the ground and a giant projector comes from the ceiling into the wall behind where sg. kawalo and flu are both standing. the monitor automatically comes on, reveling untitleds logo and then showing monitors of all the parts of the world his forces have already invaded, leaving red skies and destruction in their wake.
Untitled - "So tell me of the progress made towards the blue planet my forces have begun invading, are the species under control?
Sg. Kawalo says nothing but looks to flu as he hesitates to explain to their leader that their invasion was thrwarted by a single human child (katherine) who defeated their elephant drill single handedly.
"WHAT!?!" Untitled jumps up in his seat in anger and amazement, out of fear Flu panics and explains their their forces are still invading other parts of the earth and rounding up the creatures for experimentation and captivity.
Untitled demands that the human who defeated his elephant drill be found and brought to him at once. he wants to meet the child face to face to see how powerful she really is.
flu assures him that it will be done and the camera pans to outside of the building where (the other main character of this story) Hippoloid is doing surveilance and listening in on the conversation.
He feels he better warn his crew and leaps off the ledge of the building to rush back to tell them of his discovery.

-the next day, back on earth-

katherine yawns as she leaves her front door to meet rhys outside. Its early in the morning but they meet up this early often to go for a morning jog together and play football in the park.
rhys is still in amaze over the event that happened last night and katherine jokes saying "Yep, they might even give me the key to the city"
Rhys told her that the whole event was televised and was all over the news and how everyone was calling the mysterious girl a hero
Katherine says that she can't be bothered with any of that right now, feeling heroic enough just getting her exams in on time then asks rhys if they're ready for their morning jog together.
Rhys dribbles his soccer ball and says he's going to beat her this time and without giving him any warning, responds with "yep" then immediately runs off playfully, leaving him in shock to chase after her saying "hey!"
This signals the 3rd stage in the game where you run with rhys through the parks, suburban and road areas, running through traffic then towards the woods and cliff areas, heading towards the hills and open fields on your morning jog till you get to your park hangout area (not the city park you met up with before, this ones in a more secluded, suburban area)

-stage 3: Exeter Hills- early morning, warm orange to pink to blue sunrise-

When they get to the park, rhys is out of breath as katherine playfully gloats "I beat you again!" rhys asks how she always does it and how she's so fast, she just gloats that she's awesome and playfully kicks the soccer ball away from his feet and kicks it around while he chases after her saying "hey!"
Before they get a chance to play a mysterious purple ship (similar to the orange spacescrafts in katherines dream) zooms through the sky over the park at supersonic speeds, while military helicopters loudly fly over it. Katherine and rhys look up over their heads wondering what that was about (katherine holding the soccer ball)
then the camera pans over and cuts to the other side of the field where a mysterious, omni looking cat with glass, robot looking eyes is sitting on a brick fence over someones back garden, sitting perfectly still as it watches over katherine and rhys playing (rhys trying to grab the ball from katherine as she playfully keeps it away from him)
(This cat is Untitled's personal surveilance robot, Internal who will later play a larger role in the sequels).

the next scene takes us back to planet terra (maybe have that millitary like music from sonic X playing in the background, I think they use it for the president or topaz or GUN maybe?)
The camera pans in to a secret stone base, shack out in the middle of nowhere where Hippoloid, his friends (parront, powchow, squaril) and their king are trying to devise a plan of action to stop Untitled from Invading earth and reaching Katherine before they can.
Parront - Don't we have bigger things we should be concerned about?
Powchow - Like helping save their planet?
Parront - We can barely even save our own.
Squaril - The human took down Untitled's beast like it was nothing. The only other being we've known to do something that couregious was Hippoloid.
Parront - and what a show that was...
hippoloid - the beast I fought was caught off guard. I thanked my lucky stars I made it out of there alive. This human child from the intel took down untitled's beast like it was nothing. Even if she doesn't need our help, we most definately will be needing hers if we're to rid our world of this menace.
Squaril - You really think this girl is the key?
Powchow - Our champion?
Parront - Oh brother!
Hippoloid - What's say you, your majesty?
Hippoloid turns to their king who was sat, thinking during the conversation - guards by his side standing perfectly still
hippoking - If Untitled is aware of the childs strength, there's no doubt in my mind he will be sending everything in his power to either capture her or worse. We must get to her before he does. (struggles to get out of his chair and shuffle across the room, as the camera then shows that under his robe his entire lower half is actually a surfboard, mutated during Untitled's invasion of their planet years prior.)
I need you, young Hippoloid, to travel to their planet and find that child. She isn't safe there, and she could very well be our only hope for survival...
Hiooploid - Your majesty?
Hippoloid - This... is a losing war my friends. We've been forced into hiding, and there are so few of us left. Untitled's forces spread to other planets and galaxies while we're forced to hide in the tunnels and mountains for our own safety. You know as well as I we can no longer fight this villain alone.
Parront - I can! (flexes his giant muscles)
powchow - *snickers* you wish!
Parront - what!? I've always wanted to strangle that guy under these babies after what he did to our bodies.
(they chatter in the background)
(hippoloid thinks to himself as the king rests his hands on hippoloids shoulder)
Hippoking: Do you think you can find the girl?
Hippoloid: I'll do whatever's nessisary, my lord. I just hope we're not already too late...

back on earth...

Katherine and Rhys are at Matdonalds in exeter town centre, its mid-day, pretty busy and they're eating fries while having a conversation about the alien they fought the other day
rhys is on his iphone trying to find information about it online while katherine is eating her fries, trying to figure out what it was all about.
katherine - y'know, I still can't figure out what was up with that creepy alien thing we saw the other day, and then there was that wierd ship we saw in the park... Do you think we're being invaded by aliens?
Rhys (hardly paying attention) is pre-occupied flicking through news apps on his iphone, trying to find information about the event from last night
Rhys - well you're all over the news. Yahoo, Youtube, the BBC... Everyone's asking who the 'mysterious girl' was who took down the monster last night.
katherine jumps up and leans over the table to get a look at Rhys phone
katherine - Hey, really?
Just then all of a sudden there's a loud smash through the window as three more Claw enemies (the alien creature that crawled out of eledrills mouth) invade matdonalds and cause chaos, searching for Katherine.
people scream and panic, running out the store or ducking under the tables
the claw enemies immediately spot her and one opens fire a giant laser from its eye socket and blows a hole through the entire resturant, seperating katherine and rhys as it goes through the table and sends them both flying to the ground
katehrine - RHYS!!!!
Rhys smacks his head on the ground badly as katherine (who was fortunately thrown towards the cushion seats to some bystanders who were previously minding their own business before the carnage happened but now trying to take cover) immediately gets up and hurls herself onto the table to come to his aid
the aliens immediately lock onto her and fire another laser beam, blowing yet another huge hole through the resturant and straight through to the Primark clothes store next door where shoppers are just as shocked and panicked as the patrons in the matdonalds resturant.
Katherine leaps out of the way towards the cashiers registers as one of the aliens is trying to drag Rhys away as he, after hitting his head so hard on the ground can barely find the strength to fight back, dispite being semi aware of what's going on.
Kathering screams NO!! as she then leaps up towards the wall, jumps off towards another table nearby and immediately lunges towards the aliens, kicking two of them out of the way (one trying to grab her, the other pre-occupied with trying to drag rhys away)
as they tumble towards the ground, the 3rd alien attacks her by swinging its both its large claws then trying to swing its giant tail at her, katherine dodges all three attacks, jumps up on one of the cushion chairs with one foot and uses it to kick the alien in the face
one of the aliens fires a more powerful laser beam at her as she falls to the ground besides rhys, just barely missing it by a hair, immediately looks for his iphone, grabs it while grabbing him at the same time then makes a leap out of the broken window while carrying him, semi concious over her shoulder.
the alien that katherine kicked in the face chases her out of the resturant and leaps from smashed up car to lamppost and dives onto her back, throwing both her and rhys to the ground as tons of bystanders panic over the carnage.
katherine falls to the ground in pain as she grazes her left knee and both elbows badly as she hits the curb, rhys also flying into a parked car as she wasn't able to keep hold of him.
she struggles to pick herself up as the alien ruthlessly dives onto her back, pulling at her hair and clawing at her scalp.
Rhys immediately finds the strength to pick himself up, finding a nearly pole broken from the broken debris whacks the alien over the head with it and sends it flying to the ground.
Rhys is still a little dizzy from hitting his head so hard but he refuses to let his friend be hurt by these creatures.
Katherine - Rhys...
She struggles to pick hemself up as rhys is still standing there holding the pipe with a tight grip on both hands
he comes to her aid and tries to help her up, asking if she's ok, she tells him she hit her knee pretty badly but the conversation is immediately cut short as the two aliens in the matdonalds pick themselves up, look at the flightened employee's then after quickly decucing that katherine is not among them dive out the window to join the fight in the street, the alien rhys hit also picking itself up and latching onto the wall of a shop building and two more aliens diving out from a manhole pipe, causing even more chaos and panic.
Rhys - Kat... I think we should get out of here, ...Now!
Katherine immediately uses both of her legs to kick Rhys to the ground as hard as she can as the claw enemy he hit was about to fire a powerful laser at him which blows the car besides them to smitherines, sending its flaming remains flying backwards.
Katherine then immediately picks herself up, grabs rhys over her shoulder again and says "Agreed! Lets get the heck out of here!"
They run off both limping as fast as they can towards an indoor shopping mall while the police, ambulance and fire brigade show up with loud sirens which distracts all of the aliens from noticing where she went.
Some of them stay to fight (preparing to fire lasers at them) while the others climb up buildings and flee to hunt down katherine and rhys.

scene cuts to katherine and rhys taking shelter in the indoor malls public toilets as they gasp for breath and tend to their grazed wounds.
Katherine - *pant pant pant*... what the hell were those things!!
rhys is still really nautious from how badly he hurt his head. holding onto it as he can barely keep his eyes open and neck up from the pain.
Katherine - Hey, are you ok?
rhys - Ughh... I really hit my head badly back there... I'm not bleeding but...
katherine - you should probably get it checked out.
rhys - Those things were the same creature that came out of that monster from the other day. They were after us, Katherine! They seriously were after US!!
Katherine - We barely made it out of there alive. Whatever those things are, it isn't safe for us here.
rhys - ...where else are we gonna go?
katherine - my dad has a friend who can help us out, y'know the bear detective agency?
rhys looks at her puzzled as if she's talking nonsence - ...What!?
katherine - Benjamin Bear, y'know, the human bear that lives here in town!
Rhys - ...Katherine, what the f...
Katherine - Look! If anyone can help right now, it's him. He's our only chance right now.
Rhys just shakes his head at her, still a little nautious as she climbs ontop of one of the bins and hand dryers to look out the tiny window to see if the coast is clear.
Katherine - don't give me that look! Unless you have a better idea thats exactly where I'm going.
Rhys - Alright! I'm with you. Look, thanks for... y'know, saving my butt back there.
Katherine - Hey, backacha, now lets get going.
She opens up the window as far as it'll go and begins to climb out.
Rhys - Wait, we're going out the window!?
Katherine - Sure! I ain't going back that THAT way! The detective agency is just a few blocks away from here anyway *points out the window* It's quicker this way.
Rhys - ...Alright, wait up. (checks his iphone to see if its broken or not)

the scene then cuts back to the matdonalds resturant where absolute carnage and flaming wreckage has engulfed the entire street.
Sg. Kawalo walks towards the resturant to inspect the damage, followed closely behind a few of the claw enemies
Sg. Kawalo - ...send out a search unit. I want more ground troops in the area. Untitled must not know of this failure!
Sg. kawalo picks up a notice board poster from the broken debris to inspect it
sg. kawalo - they couldn't have gotten far...

the next scene cuts to katherine and rhys running towards the detective agency just around the corner near the bridge (near their school)
panting for breath and limping as they hold each other, they storm into the building, startling the male receptionist, Mike who was filing out paperwork
Mike - Wooah, you c...
Katherine - Mike, we need to see Ben right now, tell him it's Katherine.
Mike gets up a little confused but realises the situations urgent so he panics and says "Right, wait here, I'll..."
he walks into ben's office while katherine and rhys lie down in the chairs, exhausted and out of breath.
katherine stretches her legs and rugs her knees while rhys lays there with his hand over his heartbeat and head leaning towwards the celing.
Rhys - dude, we really are cutting it.
Just then ben walks into the room followed by mike to inspect the situation.
Ben - Katherine?
Katherine - Ben! *pant* We've *pant* got a serious problem on our hands.
Rhys looks up to see that the person katherine was reffering to was in fact a human shaped bear in a detectives suit.
he's shocked, but at this point too startled and exhausted by everything else that has happened to him today to even comment on what he's seeing.
Katherine - you saw the news, right!?
Ben - The creature you defeated in the city centre?
Katherine - Yeah well...
Rhys - ...Wait you Knew!?
Ben - Of course.
Katherine - There's more of them, and they're after US! You're the only person we can turn to, Ben!
Ben - I see... It's not safe for you both here, come into my office.
They both follow ben downstairs into his secret office, Rhys still completely puzzled by whats going on (he has a drink of cooler water btw)

in ben's office

ben - have a seat.
ben rummages through some files on the top shelf to pull out a giant map as katherine and rhys both sit down before the large table in his basement/office
ben - I've been fearing this event would happen for a long time now. What I'm about to tell you both is top secret and -cannot- leave this room.
he puts the map down on the desk and unrolls it to revieal it's actually a coloured map of the milky way galaxy that hippoloids world is from.
ben - You see Katherine, I'm not originally from this world.
he points his finger to one of the tiny planets on the map as katherine says "Oohhh..."
ben - I originally came from a distant universe not too different from your own. This planet is where I am from.
Rhys - Wait, so... you're an alien too?
ben - you could say that I suppose. Our world was once invaded by an evil dictator known only as Untitled. he quickly changed everything and almost everyone who didn't flee from the galaxy quickly became slaves to his army.
Rhys is looking at katherine, shocked that she's not reacting to all of this the same way he is, finding everything he's being told a little hard to believe.
Katherine - And you've been living here ever since?
ben - Yes. our world has the technology to cross open portals to other galaxies, but at this point returning back there would be comitting suicide...
We as a species vowed to never let Untitled get ahold of our technology, but if he's indeed found a way to cross over to this world then I fear nobody on this planet will be safe...
Katherine - Well, what can we do? We can't just sit here and do nothing. Those things out there nearly killed us today!!
Rhys - Please sir, you must know of a way!
ben - (he rolls up the map again) I made a vow to your father once that I would keep you safe whenever you would need me. I don't know at this point what can be done but I will help you in anyway I can.
Katherine - you're able to go back to your world at anytime you want to, right? So why don't we go back there and stop this guy?
Rhys - K-KATHERINE, YOU'RE CRAZY!! If what happened today is just the begining, then we need to get as far away from here as possible! Let's get on the train, go to Bristol or ...s-something!?
Katherine - Ben?
Ben - *sigh* I wish ...everyday it was possible, but sadly there isn't a planet anymore to go back to... At this point however your friend is right, Katherine. If those creatures are indeed after you, they won't rest until they've found you once more.
I'll arrange for a safehouse I know in London where you can stay. It's not much but I can guarentee that will be the safest part of the country when the invasion happens...
Katherine looks at him furious with a tear in her eye and gripping both fists, she immediately runs off as he was searching his phonebook for the address for the safehouse.
Rhys - Katherine!
Ben - Listen to me! You must go after her, those things Will Not rest until they've found her again. Exeter isn't safe anymore young man, this is going to be the place Untitled will strike first. Do you understand?
Rhys slowly nods
Ben - Wherever you go, make sure it's as far away from here as possible... And here. (hands rhys his business card) Call me whenever you are able. I will help you in anyway I can.
Rhys - T-thanks. ...I better go after her.
Ben - Stay safe, lad.
Rhys runs out of the room after katherine.

The next scene takes place back on hippoloids world.
that same millitary like music is playing again as hippoloids friends and the king are outside in an open area helping him prepare for his travels to earth
Parront and powchow are packing his rucksack while the others are preparing to bid him farewell
parront - let's see... err laser rifles... check. ammunition... check
powchow - oxygen?
parront - ...check.
hippoking - when you find the girl, be sure to bring her back here to us as quickly as possible.
squiral - our intel suggests that Untitled is already sending his minions after her. The co-ordinates indicate the attack was in the exact same area the initial invasion took place. Could we be too late?...
powchow - food?
parront - let's see... err... check.
hippoloid - I'll find out whatever I can and report back to you as soon as I'm able.
Hippoking - Good luck, Hippoloid. Our fate may very well be in your hands.
as he says this, the portal opens up to take hippoloid to earth.
everyone waves goodbye to him as he walks through the portal.
powchow - wow... do you think he will be alright?
hippoking - we can only hope, powchow...
powchow (to parront) - hey, you remembered to pack his communicator in the bag didn't you?
parront quickly searches through the checklist and then himself
parront - Ahh... I ...ohhhh.
There is an awkward pause among them as they all stand there in silence...

next scene
back on earth (roughly 6pm now)

Rhys walks into katherines bedroom to see her manically packing her bags
Rhys - Katherine?
katherine - lets see... sandwiches... check, bottled water...
Rhys - Woah! Hey! Katherine! Where do you think you're going!?
katherine - Look, you and Ben can just be happy with hiding in a ditch somewhere, but I am not just going to sit here and wait to be invaded Rhys.
zips up her bag
Katherine - I am going to stop this whole thing even if I have to do it by myself!
Rhys grabs her arm
Rhys - Woah! Katherine!
Katherine - RHYS!!
She throws her arm away but rhys then blocks her exit
Rhys - Will you think about what you're going to do for a second!? This is crazy!
Katherine - Outta the way.
Rhys - No!
Katherine - Get out of the way!!
Rhys - Look! Just because you took down that one giant alien thing, doesn't mean you can take out an entire alien invasion! You heard what the bear said, he lost his entire planet to those things!
Katherine starts crying and tries to rub a tear from her face - *sniff*
Rhys - Whatever we're doing, *she tries to reach for the door again but rhys makes sure the door slams shut* We're doing it together! Alright? You and me! The two of us. We're a team! remember?
Katherine rubs her face and then puts her rucksack down as she slowly calms
Katherine - *sniff* *sigh* I'll... go make us some sandwiches and then... *she immediately tries to make a break for the door but rhys quickly blocks her again
Rhys - Ah-Ahh!
Katherine growls in fustration - Grrrrrrrr!!
Rhys points his finger at her
Rhys - Look, I mean it Katherine. Whatever we're doing, we're doing it together. You're not running off without me again.
katherine - I... Ur... .... *breathes in* ...ALRIGHT!! Alright! *throws her rucksack out of the way and slams herself down on her bed with her arms spread out facing the ceiling* God! You win!! We'll do it your way!
Rhys - Right... Right? *rhys walks away from the door and goes into his pocket to find the card ben gave him*
Rhys - Look, your friend gave me this card, I think we should...
the very second rhys's guard is down katherine makes an immediate break for the door and runs out the room
Rhys - Katherine!? KATHERINE!!! *god dammit...*
rhys looks out onto the balcony then runs back in katherines room and looks out of her bedroom window to see her running outside then calls to her.
Rhys - Katherine!!
Katherine  - I just need to go clear my head for a bit, I'll call you later on!!
Rhys - you son of a...!?!
immediately cuts to the next scene

--NEXT SCENE--

back in Untitled's laboritory
Sg. kawalo is standing before untitled with his head down. Untitled is staring him down in silence and dissapointment as he stands there with his arms folded.
-long pause of silence-
Untitled - *breathes in* ...And you lost her?
Sg. Kawalo - We searched everywhere my lo...
Untitled - YOU -LOST- HER!
Sg. Kawalo - My lord, I...
Untitled - Where is She, Kawalo?
Sg. Kawalo - -awkward pause of silence-
Untitled - Is she aboard the ship? Is she here? Answer me!!
Sg. Kawalo - No my lord, she is not.
Untitled - Then -You've- Lost Her!
Sg. Kawalo - ...
Untitled turns his back to him and sits back down in his automatic chair
Untitled - You have failed me Kawalo, make it be the last time!
Sg. Kawalo - .....
Untitled - ANSWER ME!!
Sg. Kawalo - S-s-sir.
Untitled raises his arm for Sg. Kawalo to leave the room while he focuses his attention to the monitors infront of him relaying information over the invasion to exeter which then shows a window in the corner of katherine fighting eledrill
Untitled - Mark my words, Human. I will have you...
Untitled immediately gets up from his chair, the chair moves back and the desk collapses into the ground so the chair can go over it while the monitor screen goes back into the air, revealing another open room behind it
Untitled walks into the room where a shirtless blonde boy is laying on the operating table with his eyes closed.
automatic mechanical arms are operating on him (you cant see what they're doing on camera) and on the lab table is Internal, purring as his tail wags as he watches over the experiment
Untitled - Show me his vitals.
Internal immediately jumps off of the table and walks out of the room as a smaller monitor comes down from the celing infront of him and shows him Leon's energy levels, etc
Untitled (to the machines) - Make sure his fuel processors remain properly sheilded.
Untitled - Soon you will be complete Leon. The perfect assassin who will complete my every task without failure. Once you assassinate the King and outthrow the resistance, I'm sending you down to earth to bring me that child, if Kawalo fails me again that is.
By the months end, that entire galaxy will belong to me.
he walks out of the room while the camera focuses on leons face with his eyes still closed...

next scene

Hippoloid arrives on earth through (just outside of Exmouth train station) at 7.30pm
Hippoloid put his voice communicator on his wrist to his mouth
hippoloid - Ok, I've arrived on the planet's surface. I seem to be in the middle of a town of sorts. The atmosphere in this world seems almost near identical to our own... the ground is a little harder *stomps on the ground with one foot to test how solid the ground is* ...Gravity seems to be about the same... *jumps in place*
The sign in their language reads "Exmouth Train Station"... I'm not sure if this is the same place or not... come in HQ.
-awkward silence- ...Parront? Squiral? Are you there? ...hello? Checks his voice communicator. Damn... Nothing. Suppose I'm on my own for this mission... This place doesn't seem to be affected by any signs of panic or an invasion. I'll have to begin searching for clues...
Wanders off towards the loud and bright amusement arcade

The next day...

Katherine and rhys are riding a national express coach to London with their bags packed.
Katherine and rhys are sitting in the far back row, katherine has her head in her hands sulking that she's running away and rhys is trying to cheer her up.
Rhys - Hey, cheer up. This is the best thing we can do at this point.
Katherine - *sigh*... I really can't believe we're leaving it all behind, Rhys... I really can't. Our whole lives were in that city.
Rhys - (holding his soccer ball) It's just until things calm down. Look, the government. The military... they're going to take care of this mess. It's not our job to go throw ourselves at danger like that.
Katherine lies back and rests her head against the seat
Katherine - Still, our families have no idea what's even going on right now...
Rhys - My mum's in florida, your dad's away on business. Ben said he was going to take care of everything, we've just got to get to London before anything else crazy happens.
Katherine - ...*sigh*
as she lays back and rests on the coach, the camera pans out to the motorway and the scenery around it.
Then without any warning whatsoever, a gigantic blue tenticle smashes through the concrete from under the ground, throws the entire coach spinning in the air while everyone inside is screaming.
Katherine screams for Rhys as he does for her but they're completely seperated by the chaos and panic within the coach.
A gigantic alien serphant creature smashes through the ground of the motorway as his tenticles cover all parts of the scenery. From the sky a gigantic pink spacecraft appears from cloaking and onboard, Sg. Kawalo watches over the scene with a rex foot soldier and a panda soldier on guard.
Sg. Kawalo - hmph, we have you at last, human. On my mark prepare to open fire on anything that interferes. Failure will not be accepted a second time.
Rex soldier - Sir!
back on the ground, katherine pulls her self out of the wreckage, coughing and trying to call for rhys "Rhys..."
She picks herself up among with a few other survivors to witness the gigantic creature in the distance wailing out loud sirens.
it smashes a tenticle through the coach, throwing katherine and any other people out of the way as katherine screams "Woah!!"
She flies to the floor and screams "RHYS!!!!!!!" then the serphant wails out another siren.
She looks at it head on, angrily. Ready to kick some ass.

This starts the second boss fight of the game against the serphant.

-Boss 2: The Serphant-

After the boss is over and the creature lies in the landscape defeated, Sg. Kawalo's ship retreats back into the sky due to the overwhelimng might of the millitary and millitary cars rush past katherine to ensure the beast is defeated.
Katherine rushes back, exhausted and limping to the coach and the paramedics trying to save injured or dead passengers and katherine panics, fearing Rhys may be among them.
She looks over to see rhys sitting on an ambulances open doors with hot coco and a blanket around his shoulders and katherine sighs in relief and says "Thank god..."
she walks up to rhys while the paramedics around them are busy working on other people.
Rhys - You really gave 'em hell, I gotta give you that.
katherine jokingly inspects her nails to be smug - Ehh, it wern't nothing.
katherine - So how about you? Ready to get out of here?
Rhys - are you serious?
Katherine - Dude, c'mon. I am ready for anything!
Rhys - ...you're so bipolar.
katherine - Well unless your legs arn't working it looks like I'm gonna have to leave you behind.
Rhys gives her a funny, smirky look :/
Katherine - I'll even race you to the next town. ready? On your marks...
Rhys - Kat...
Katherine - Get set...
Rhys - Y'know our luggage is still in...
Katherine - ...GO!
She immediately runs off giving Rhys little time to react other to get up and chase after her
Rhys - Wait!

-stage 4: Road to Exmouth- - play the song love II love

In this stage you're racing alongside rhys yet again, running through the motorway, through farms, past a car park, across a bridge, into suburban areas towards exmouth town centre, through the town centre and towards the docks

at the dockyard
Katherine and rhys are having a moment to catch their breath, watching the sea as they enjoy the scenery
seagulls fly by and cry
rhys - you know we past the train station like 2 miles back, right?
kat - I know. ...I just wanted to see this place one last time.
rhys - huh?
kat - man, I used to love coming here on vacation when I was younger. See that apartment over there? (points to one of the apartment buildings in the docks)
rhys - yeah?
kat - thats where we used to stay. My nan used to live just around the corner from here as well. We'd go on walks, go to the park, enjoy the countryside...
rhys - I had no idea you had so much history here?
kat - *sigh* yeah... sure am going to miss this place...
just then, three more of the claw enemies appear, one swining ontop of a lamppost, one diving out of the water and one coming to the left of them, crawling on the ground.
Rhys - Oh NOT this again!
kat - Come on! We're getting out of here!!

-stage 5: Exmouth park - maybe play the song you and music or would you rather save that for katherine and hippoloid 2

In this stage you're running from the dockyard, along the beach, through the park, up the large climb towards the cliffs and where that tower thing is while untitleds army attacks the town

hippoloid is hiking above the cliffs watching the ocean, fustrated that nobody seems to know who the mysterious girl is
hippoloid - *sigh* this is hopeless, I've spent an entire day in this world with no leads whatsoever and no idea where I am. I may as well send a beacon out to open up a portal. Wherever this girl is, she's clearly nowhere near here.
Just as hippoloids tinkering with his voice communicator, katherine and rhys come racing into the cliff area at top speed
Rhys - Look, Katherine there's another one!
Katherine dives up in the air and gives hippoloid a flying kick screaming "Yiaa...!!" before he can barely react to whats going on
Hippoloid - What in blazes is going on here!?
Katherine pins him down in a chokehold and demands answers
Katherine - Alright squeeky, I'm done playing around! We want answers and we want them NOW! Take us to your leader!
Hippoloid - *gag* *cough* What!? It-It's you!?
Katherine - Me!??
Hippoloid - YOU!
Katherine gets off of him completely puzzled, rhys just as puzzled as she is
Rhys - Wait.. You!?
Katherine - No!
Hippoloid - Yes! I've been searching everywhere for YOU! *points to her* Yes, You!
Katherine steps back waving her hands
Katherine - Woah Woah Woah little guy, I am NOT your leader, ok?
Hippoloid - Yes! We've been searching for you. My people NEED you to come back with us!
Rhys - Wait, THIS is why they're after you!?
Hippoloid - Who?
Rhys - YOU!! (points to katherine)
Katherine - Woah, Woah, No, no, ...no! I, I'm not your ruler ok? Just go back to whatever alien world you're from and leave us all alone!
Hippoloid - You don't understand, you're in great danger here!
Katherine - Yeah well YOU started it! *points to hippoloid angrily*
Hippoloid - I did not!
Katherine - Yes you did, you invaded Earth!
Hippoloid - I've only been here a day!?
Katherine - Oh HOW convenient for YOU!
Rhys - Guys! Guys! Stop it! This isn't getting us nowhere.
Katherine - Anywhere.
Rhys looks at katherine angrily for correcting her
Rhys - K-kat...
Hippoloid brushes himself off.
hippoloid - You're definately as strong as they say, I'll give you that. Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name's Hippoloid. I belong to a resistance group on a distant world from a far away galaxy known as Terra.
Katherine - Well, I'm katherine, this is Rhys.
Rhys - Hey.
Hippoloid - Hello.
katherine - but what about this invasion?
Hippoloid - Thats why I'm here, Our world was taken over by the same tyrant who's now trying to take over your planet. He's known only as Untitled. This fearsome dictator has conquored over many worlds and galaxies in his time, and we now believe he is targeting YOU directly, Katherine.
Katherine - ...Why me?
Hippoloid - The day that monster was attacking your city, you defeated it with such courage. We've watched your battles, and never have we seen such strength and skill before.
Katherine - wait, you were watching that!?
Rhys - ...hey, isn't that the guy Ben the bear was talking about the other day? Untitled?
Katherine - Oh..., Hey, are you from Ben's world too??
Hippoloid - Look, the fact of the matter is Katherine, you're not safe here. Untitled will stop at nothing to bring you down because he fears you might be the key to ending his entire reign.
Katherine - you... you know I'm just a 15 year old kid, right??
Hippoloid - Are all 15 year old kids of your world as strong as you?
katherine - well...??
rhys - he's right, katherine. You took down two giant monsters like it wasn't even a huge deal. Then you got up like you were ready for more.
Hippoloid - You may not need our help, Katherine. But there isn't a doubt in my mind we really could use yours. Will you come back to my world and speak with my ruler?
katherine without saying anything looks at him a little stunned and points her thumb over her shoulder to rhys
hippoloid - yes, you're both welcome to come to my world. The last place Untitled would even think to look for you would be with the resistance, and I'm sure you'd like to be off of his radar while we come up with a plan to stop this invasion.
rhys - Wait, how ...did you get to our world anyway?
Hippoloid - with this. (presses a button on his voice communicator which opens up a portal right in front of them)
katherine and rhys both look at it in amaze.
Hippoloid - these portals have been our only weapon against Untitled for a long time now. He isn't aware we even have this technology, if he did there's no telling what lengths he'd go through to get to it. Come, it isn't safe here. There could be spies tracking our every move.
Rhys - Well?
Katherine - Dude... We're going to another world!
Katherine slaps rhys hand exitedly as they high 5 each other then she dives face first into the portal.
Rhys smiles/smirks suprisingly then willingly climbs in after her.
Hippoloid follows suit and the portal closes behind them.
