Hey guys, welcome to my DA page.

Here I plan to bring you all my latest projects for the future as well as upload all my artwork and photography.
My main aspiration in life is to make it big as an animator and game designer, I hopefully wanna move to the big city and set up my own little art studio so I can make my dream happen.
Thanks so much for supporting, and hopefully you'll enjoy my work too when it's ready.
- Ashton

I am grateful for everyone who views and enjoys my work, sorry if I can't respond to every single comment and message I get but I hope you understand, very often I'm really busy and I can only respond to a handful of messages at a time.

If you wanna use my Photography as stock or colour in any of my art, don't hesitate to ask. But please wait for my permission first otherwise I'm going to treat your devitation as art theft and instantly report it.

P.S. I'm well aware my Gallery is mess right now, once I've uploaded all my work I'm going to reconstruct the entire gallery from scratch, removing the junk, moving lesser work into scraps, etc and just genuinely tidying it up. Just try to bear with me until I do, I still have a lot to upload.

::I've gotten into Disney Infinity::

I let a friend talk me into it. At first I was only really interested in the Wreck it Ralph and Tron Legacy toy box features. I wasn't really going into this expecting to get that much out of it, but honestly as soon as the game arrived I instantly fell in love.
It's like they somehow managed to take the pure magic of Disney we've grew to love for generations and condense it into video game form. It just works on so many levels.
The best way I can describe the game, it's like they took the figure collecting concept from Spyro Skylanders, the world editing concept from Little Big Planet and the gameplay mechanics from Lego City Undercover. Put it all together and you have the perfect kids game.

The figures themselves are incredibly well made and look really detailed. Once you see them up close it's impossible to call them an excuse for overpriced DLC because the figures by themselves are worth the price.
Go into the mindset that you're buying figures that just so happen to come with free DLC for your game and you won't feel ripped off in anyway.

With the game you get Mr. Incredible, Jack Sparrow and Sully from Monsters Inc. There are 26 other figures out there from other modern Disney and Pixar IP's such as Wreck it Ralph, Frozen, Toy Story, Cars, Phineas and Ferb and even Mickey Mouse himself is playable. (Sadly no Donald Duck or the rest of the gang)

Some of the characters I think have their official voice talent in the game though to my frustration, Not all of them do and it clearly shows. To me Woody and Buzz are not Woody and Buzz without Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. You could argue a characters design and personality make the character but I disagree. It was the voice acting that MADE Toy Story work in my humble opinion.

Fact I'm honestly in the very small minority who NEVER liked the original Toy Story. Even as a kid watching it at the cinemas for the first time, I didn't enjoy it at all. The CG didn't impress me one bit, none of the characters were remotely likable and the ones that were, were pushed to the sidelines. The main characters were shockingly mean spirited to one another and most all of the adult jokes flew over my head.
Thankfully A Bugs Life came around later on and that was the film that made me fall in love with Pixar. The original Toy Story though... never liked it.

But back on topic.
With the game you get Mr. Incredible, Jack and Sully, a random power disk which gives you an extra bonus feature in the game. (usually some cheap DLC like an added vehicle, extra strength for your character or a free texture pack for your toy box creations) Sadly the power disks don't install into the game so they can be discarded afterwards, they have to be activated every time you want to use them.

What's interesting is every copy of Disney infinity ships with a completely random disk so you have no idea what you or your friends will get. (I got Mickey Mouse's car with mine. No idea if it's rare or not.)

The Disney infinity power disks are basically like collectable pogs or trading cards. A really cheap move by Disney to encourage you to waste money on blind bags in order to collect them all and have your game 100% complete.
It's annoying because your game will never be complete unless you have them all but hey, this is just the type of game it is. You kinda have to accept the whole collecting and trading aspect of Disney infinity in order to get into the game.

Also included with the game is the Disney infinity base which plugs into your console through USB and a strange plastic crystal ball which stores the main game modes on (play sets)
This game is really unique in the sense that none of the games data is really accessed or saved through the game save at all but it's actually the collectable figures themselves that store individual save data and progress.
Which concerns me as over time the microchip at the bottom of the figures is bound to deteriorate in some way and you risk losing your progress.

And again, having to rely on the Disney infinity base, while essential to the concept of the game, is still inconvenient as a gamer. And of course if that damages or breaks then you're pretty much screwed as there seems to be no way to replace any of the missing parts, the base or the game itself without buying the entire starter pack all over again or willingly purchasing them secondhand.

The base itself is really cool though and lights up in different colours during gameplay which is an interesting little feature.
From what I understand the base for the PS3 version is cross compatible with the Wii and Wii-u version but I think the Xbox 360 and 3DS version only work for their corresponding versions. I'm not 100% on that.
The 3DS version of the game is entirely different to the console version altogether so don't get your hopes up thinking it's a neat way of having Disney Infinity on the go, it's really just a rip-off clone of Mario Party. A shameless one at that.

Really disappointing actually, this could of been the perfect game to keep your kids quiet on long car journeys, but hey lets face it. The only really decent games on Nintendo handhelds are the ones made specifically for the console. The multi-platform ports are always half baked and don't even deserve a single dime of profit made towards them.

But back to the game.
Disney infinity is split into 3 different game modes.
Playsets, which make up the bulk of the main game, these are the story campaigns that are tied to certain characters. There are 6 to my knowledge. - The Incredibles, Monsters University and Pirates of the Caribbean come with the game and Cars, Lone Ranger and Toy Story in Space you have to purchase separately in a play-set pack which come with Lightning McQueen, Holly Shiftwell, Tonto, The Lone Ranger, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie included in their respective playset packs.

Adventures are basically mission based custom mini-games assigned to each individual character. You see while not every character has their own story campaign, you at least have some mission objective based games to compete with for them which unlocks tokens you can spend in the toy box.

And lastly you have the toy box itself. This is basically the free-play mode where you can create your own worlds, share them with friends or put them up for download. This is the little big planet aspect of Disney infinity and where the game gets most of it's replay value from.

I personally can't be bothered to create my own worlds as I'd rather dedicate my time to my minecraft projects but there are some really creative ones online you can download. I highly recommend the sugar rush racetracks, the tron highway stage (which is hard as nails btw) and the 100 Acre Wood stage. I can see myself going back and replaying them a lot.
Someone even went out of their way to try and recreate Disney world Florida! Really impressive work!

I'm not personally sure if Disney Infinity approve of what content is available for download, if anyone can just upload anything or even if the worlds are cross compatible with the other version of the game but for the 360 version, there's only 90 worlds exactly up for download so far, all of which seem to be related to the Disney Infinity toy box competitions they host on the Disney channel, so maybe they really are approved by Disney directly. I don't know.

So far though I feel like I've gotten my money's worth just out of the Incredibles playset by itself. The minute I started playing I was absolutely hooked and spent the entire day glued to the game. I haven't even tried the other two yet and I hear Jack Sparrows playset is even better!

The only characters that work with the playsets are the ones assigned to each playsets respected franchises though so you can't play the Incredibles playset as Wreck it Ralph or the Cars playset as Elsa from Frozen.
ONLY the Incredibles characters work for the Incredibles playset, cars for the Cars playset and so on, the rest are just for the toy box sadly.

I don't think they'll be releasing any future characters past this point as all of the data for the existing characters has already been dormant on the disk since day one, but they've already announced a sequel in the works with an interest in including Marvel and Indiana Jones characters to the mix.
Hopefully the current models will be backwards compatible, it'll feel like a huge waste of money otherwise.

Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention, The figures also come with a code you can redeem so you can access them for free on the PC and Ipad versions of the game which I believe are free to download but I'm not sure if they actually give you the game for free or if it's online only or what the full deal is there.
To my understanding it's just for toybox mode anyway, you can only access the playsets though the console version of the game.

Anyway that's all I have to say about the game. I'll keep playing and hopefully start collecting the other characters as well. Even just as figures for my room they look really cool.
I wanna start collecting Disney Traditions figures as well. During my previous job I noticed them on display and they looked really cool, but now I've noticed that they're on amazon as well and there are 100's of them, ranging from £8 to £80

The ones of old school Mickey Mouse, Donald and Goofy meeting their modern day counterparts in a similar fashion to Sonic Generations look so cool but it's the figurine of Jessica Rabbit that REALLY caught my eye. I seriously need to get that figure while I still have the chance, even if its the only one I get!

Just picture how awesome that would look in your house!

You keep talking about this game so I decided to look it up and I found out it has Wreck-It Ralph, so I thought, why not?

I looked it up to download it for Wii but guess what it's a dual layer game, so it's over 7GB in size.
No biggie, I dag up and found a torrent that's very fast so I got it within few hours (yes that's the fastest dual layer game I ever downloaded, usually they take at least 1-3 days to download, if I was lucky!

Now I just tried it and guess what, IT ASKS FOR A FUCKING STARTER PACK! Are you fucking kidding? That's it I'm not buying this thing, I always buy games and movies I intend to buy to support the company but if I had no interest I'm not buying it, it's not worth it sorry man but looking it up I get a feeling it's just a mine craft, not my thing!
